Hi,
I'm searching for a sleeping bag which would be ideal in field conditions and some very cold evenings here in the UK. It's very unlikely it'll be used outside of the UK.
I have looked into the Softie 18 Antarctica but would this be to much of a system just for field conditions and camping trips in the UK? The other system I saw is the Softie 12 Osprey.
Maybe you could recommend me at least two sleeping bags which would be ideal use here in the UK for camping trips and field conditions under a basher.
I'm in the Territorial Army so you can probably imagine it would get used often.
And is it really worth buying a bivvi bag as well or not? What does the bivvi bag actually achieve whilst using it with any sleeping bag?
