Snugpak, the leading manufacturer of high quality sleeping bags and insulated clothing is delighted to receive a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category.
Snugpak Ltd started trading in 1977, manufacturing and exporting specialist sleeping bags and insulated cold weather clothing to both the general camping market and armed forces. It exports to 28 markets, with military forces in Latvia, Australia and the USA, accounting for over 70% of export sales.
Overseas sales have increased by 77% since 2006, with over 50% of Snugpak’s total production sold overseas.
Sales Director Darren Burrell said: “We are thrilled to receive this award as recognition of our hard work and success at developing high quality, durable products that can withstand rigorous use in harsh and sometimes extreme conditions throughout the world.”
Snugpak is based in a listed mill built in the 1800's on the edge of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and is very proud to be one of the last manufacturers of quality sleeping bags and insulated clothing not only in the UK but across Europe
